Pink Diamonds
What Is A Pink Diamond?
From soft peach to saturated magenta, pink diamonds come in all different shades. As with every other colored diamond in our collection, Melanie sources each pink diamond for its unique color and high quality. Our collection is always changing, often featuring soft petal pinks, warm orangey pinks, and deep rosey pinks. Fun fact: unlike other colored diamonds, the process of creating a pink diamond in a lab is different than in the natural world! A natural pink diamond gets its color from a deformity in its crystal structure. Since scientists are unsure of the exact atomic structure of this deformity, most lab-grown pink diamonds are made by exposing a diamond grown with nitrogen impurities to radiation and high heat, a similar process to that which gives us green diamonds. Designer Melanie Casey has carefully curated a collection of these romantic focal stones. While you can find all the pink diamond rings currently available in our Pink Diamond Collection, read on to learn which design elements are Melanie’s favorite to use in a pink diamond engagement ring.
Melanie’s Favorite Pink Diamond Rings

Beautiful Bezels
One of Melanie’s favorite elements to incorporate into colored diamond engagement rings is a bezel setting. Bezel settings are both antique and modern, with a long history stretching back centuries and a secure top spot in contemporary trends. Bezel settings work particularly well with colored diamonds because the metal framework creates contrast, emphasizing the color of the focal diamond. Depending on the undertones of a pink diamond, you may choose a yellow gold bezel to emphasize the warmth of an orangey-pink diamond or a white gold bezel to underscore the hints of cool blue in a purply-pink diamond. Designer and founder Melanie Casey’s bezel set engagement rings are unique, incorporating elements not often seen in other bezel rings. This one of a kind Formation Ring surrounds the orangy-pink focal diamond in a yellow gold bezel, enhancing the firey undertones of this unique pink diamond engagement ring. There are even hidden diamonds tucked underneath the setting.
Add Sparkle With a Halo
Surrounding the focal stone with a radiant outline of white diamonds, a halo engagement ring emphasizes the focal and adds extra sparkle. Melanie loves adding a halo to a pink diamond ring because the white diamonds of the halo contrast the color of the focal stone, drawing even more attention to the unique centerpiece. Mealnie’s halo engagement ring designs do much more than just cause the focal stone to appear larger, her halo engagement rings are intricate and dynamic, each one adding movement to the composition. Melanie’s halo engagement rings often have a scalloped lace-like edge that heightens the romantic nature of a pink diamond. The Helio Ring features a halo that rises and falls like the sun’s rays. Because the halo is recessed, sitting slightly lower than the focal stone, the natural light pink diamond shown here appears backlit by radiant light.

Intricate Bands
Melanie loves an intricately designed band, especially for a pink diamond ring because it emphasizes the soft romanticism intrinsic to this unique stone. A detailed band can come in a variety of different designs, including tapers, braids, dynamic diamonds, or weightless accents. When set into the Hillside Ring, pink diamonds radiate Bridgerton-era romance: equal parts soft and intricate. A slender band weaves together, marking the moments the band intersects with small accent diamonds.
Sometimes, They’re One of a Kind
Every once in a while, a pink diamond demands a design all its own. Rather than set the pink diamond into one of our beloved favorites from the permanent collection, Melanie creates something new! While there isn’t one singular element unifying our collection of one of a kind colored diamond engagement rings, they all have one thing in common: they’re unlike anything else. The Needlepoint Ring features a unique open band, incorporating negative space between mirrored clusters of white accent diamonds. As the accent diamonds taper, the band meets these weightless clusters with a metallic bubbled texture, causing the cluster to fade gently into the smooth metal band.
