Melanie Casey: We've just launched 17 new men's wedding band designs into our permanent collection. And of course, there's a story behind it. When I first started out in the fine jewelry industry, I wax carved my husband's wedding band from scratch. Let's just say it was perfectly imperfect. Over the years, it took a beating, and I'd been trying to convince him to upgrade to one of my current designs for a while, but we kept dragging our feet Well, we finally got our reason to upgrade.

Last month, we were away with friends, and the guys got really into lawn games. My husband took off his ring so it wouldn't keep hitting the Frisbee. And as you can probably guess, at some point, it fell out of his pocket and disappeared into the grass. So it was upgrade time. When he started trying on bands from our collection, it felt like the options were so limited.

I hadn't realized it had been so long since I designed a new men's band. I even went online to see what other jewelers were offering and I was shocked at how little is out there. Men's wedding jewelry is truly underserved. So it was time to expand. I designed 17 brand new men's wedding bands, more than doubling our collection.

My husband chose his new band from this collection, and soon he'll be wearing the new seven millimeter square band in yellow gold. Hopefully, he keeps this one longer than the first.
