Can I Alter a Current Design?

We carefully design and create the pieces in our collection, so alterations are not usually possible. Exceptions include upgrading to a higher quality diamond. If you are interested in upgrading your diamonds, please email us directly at, and we'll let you know if we can alter your chosen design in that way. Additional fees will apply for alterations.


Can Melanie Make Me a Completely Custom Design?

We're sorry! At this time, we are not accepting custom design requests. However, if you're interested in a custom mini cluster ring design, try out our mini cluster ring builder! You can customize your favorite gems or birthstones to create a look that's all your own.


Why are you out of stock of a particular piece?

Many of our designs are limited edition, which means we have a very limited supply of those gemstones and often are unable to find more that meet our standards of excellence. Because of this, some pieces have to be retired for good when the current stock is sold. Thus, we cannot guarantee that your favorite design that was available yesterday is still available today. We are sorry about this! If you are pining for one of our discontinued mini cluster designs, this blog post might be able to help!


How Do I Find My Size?

We measure in US ring sizes. We offer whole, half, and quarter sizes. Because of the nature of how certain designs in the collection are made, some sizes are not available for certain pieces.

Even if you have been sized somewhere else before, we highly recommend using our sizing tools for proper measurement for our jewelry. Sizing can vary a bit from one jeweler to the next, so using our tools will best ensure a proper fit on the first try.

We'll be happy to send you a complimentary plastic sizer! Select the "US Ring Sizer" option from the drop-down menu at check-out, or request your sizer here.

For the most accurate sizing, we highly recommend our Perfect Fit sizer. This is especially recommended for anyone ordering an eternity band, a wide band or large set of stacking rings, or for anyone whose fingers may be tricky to size. This is the best way to ensure a proper fit for your Melanie Casey rings, so you can avoid the hassle of resizing later.


How Should I Take Care of My Melanie Casey Jewelry?

We offer cleaning, resizing, repair, and refinishing services for the lifetime of your jewelry - just reach out to us!

Here are some helpful tips to keep your jewelry in top shape:

♦ To best combat the residue buildup that comes with regular wear, you can clean your jewelry regularly at home with warm water, gentle soap, and a soft toothbrush.

♦ To maintain the integrity of your jewelry, remove your jewelry before showering, gardening or doing outside work, using cleaning chemicals, applying makeup and lotions, swimming, and exercising. Exposure to any harsh chemicals or heavy pressure will put your jewelry at risk. 

♦ Store your jewelry in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box.


Can My Order Be Gift Wrapped?

Your jewelry will come in a box or a pouch, depending on the piece. And not to worry, the paperwork included in your box will not include any pricing information.

If you would like a gift note to be included, please write your preferred gift message in "quotes" in the Notes section at check out.


How Will My Order Ship?

Domestic clients (in the U.S.) - We offer free USPS First Class shipping for US orders, with the option to upgrade to a faster method at check out. Depending on the value of your order, your package may ship USPS First Class, Priority, Express or through UPS or FedEx. You will be provided with a tracking number for your package. An adult (21+) signature may be required at the time of delivery, so please plan accordingly.

International Clients (outside the U.S.) - Depending on the value of your order, your package will either ship USPS First Class, or through UPS or FedEx. Your package will be fully insured, and tracking will be provided. Please note that USPS tracking may not be consistent after your package leaves the U.S.

*Please note* You may be required to pay customs fees to your government before your package can be released by customs.


Do You Accept Returns & Exchanges?

We accept returns with a restocking fee, except for Final Sale items. Please refer to our full shop policies for details.

Returns are accepted up to 30 days after you've received your jewelry. 

You are responsible for shipping costs to and from our studio for returns, and prior shipping costs cannot be refunded. 

All returns incur restocking fees. Refer to our full shop policies for more information about additional fees for returns.

We do not accept exchanges.


What is the Difference Between a Bright vs. Matte Finish?

We work in solid 14k white, yellow, and rose gold. Select pieces in the collection are only available in one metal color.

For most pieces in our collection, you are welcome to select either our bright shiny polish or our brushed matte finish from the drop-down menus at check out.

How Long is Production Time?

How Can I Pay For My Order?

 We accept all major credit cards, as well as PayPal. We do not accept personal checks nor wire transfers. Your credit card information is never stored, and all transactions are processed instantly. Does Melanie Casey Purchase Scrap Gold?

We do not purchase scrap gold at this time, nor can we melt down gold that you send us. 


Do you use ethically sourced stones? 

We use a diamond supplier that is one of the leaders in the industry. We chose this supplier because they only source conflict-free diamonds and abide by the Kimberly Process.  We are committed to ethical practices throughout our business, starting with where our stones come from. So you can rest assured that we would never work with or sell a conflict diamond. 


Can My Own Personal Gemstones Be Used in a Melanie Casey Design? 

At this time, we are not accepting requests to work with personal gemstones. Sorry about that!


Can I Request an Official Appraisal for My Melanie Casey Jewelry?

Yes! If you plan to insure your Melanie Casey jewelry, and/or if the value of your jewelry is over $1000, Melanie can provide you with an official appraisal upon request.


Does Melanie Casey Accept Wholesale Orders? 

We accept new wholesale relationships on a limited case by case basis.  Please submit your inquiry here, and will get back to you as soon as we can. We are not seeking new drop-ship or consignment relationships at this time.  


Is There a Retail Location Where I Can Purchase Melanie Casey Jewelry? 

We have just opened up a brand new showroom in North Andover, MA (just 30 minutes north of Boston). Visits to our showroom are available by appointment only, except for our scheduled Open Showroom days, which are posted and updated here. Come visit us!
